A Global IT Service firm is looking for a Project Manager (Automotive). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the automotive domain, particularly in IVI HMI development and ECU software, with a strong ability to manage delivery processes, collaborate across teams, and ensure seamless project execution while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure seamless project delivery post transition/migration phase
- Establish optimal project delivery structures based on budget, risks, and staffing needs
- Create and adhere to quarterly project charters and weekly trajectories
- Engage with clients to deploy multiple solutions and enhance value propositions
- Conduct regular customer meetings and Management Review Meetings (MRM)
- Plan and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) to drive improvement actions
- Develop and monitor project performance dashboards and reports
- Conduct periodic reviews on operational, quality, and fulfillment parameters
- Identify and resolve potential risks to prevent customer escalations
- Perform pareto analysis and identify automation opportunities
- Implement hyper-automation and crowdsourcing initiatives
- Brainstorm improvement opportunities for quality and productivity
- Plan periodic idea campaigns for new solutions and workflows
- Forecast demand and plan resource allocation aligned with project needs
- Drive compliance with training and upskilling requirements
- Manage rotations and career progression for team members
- Team Management
Required Skills:
- 8-10 years in automotive domain, focusing on IVI HMI development, ECU software, and testing
- Proficient in onsite-offshore development and programming languages (Python, C#, C, CAPL)
- Hands-on experience with CANalyzer, CANoe, and Vector Test System
- Ability to understand HW schematics, system design documents, and software architecture in Japanese
- Experience in testing ECU software requirements using in-house or licensed test suites
- Strong analytical and debugging skills, with expertise in troubleshooting ECU software issues
