A Global IT Service firm is looking for a talented Database Engineer with in the System Infrastructure Department of the Information System Division.
Responsibilities:
- With your leadership you will lead the Database project & Database team
- You will primarily be responsible for the following two tasks.
- Database Engineer: define the requirements, design and implement, maintenance of Life Insurance database. (New database for upcoming the Rakuten Life infra)
- Project management: Organize project team and lead your project (e.g. manage the schedules, budget, each task)
Required Skills:
- Over 5 years of experience in defining database requirements, design and construction
- Over 2 years of experience as an in-house IT engineer (SE)
- Experience as a project leader for entire system projects.
- Work experience in the financial industry or Insurance industry is highly desirable.
- Self-Starter: Someone who is proactive, takes ownership, and has a forward-thinking attitude rather than being passive.
- Strong Communication Skills: The ability to influence and collaborate with others, including coordination with other departments, to drive tasks forward through effective communication.
- Hands-On Approach: Not only capable of management but also able to perform tasks such as system construction and troubleshooting independently.

Work Hours : 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Flextime or staggered working hours possible)
Work Style : Hybrid (Typically 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home)
