The world's largest European insurance company is seeking an Information Security Consultant  to strengthen IT Security in Japan branch. In this role you will support IT security operations for our Japanese entities (general and life insurance), working closely with the Business Information Security Officer (BISO), global teams, IT departments, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Implement the global IT security strategy in Japan
- Validate security metrics and lead remediation
- Ensure proper execution of the Group’s evaluation framework
- Manage governance activities for Japan entities
- Provide visibility into IT security risks via dashboards and reports
- Assess cyber risk exposure with the Risk Management team
- Cloud Security
- IT/Application Risk (pre/post-implementation)
- Thematic and regulatory reviews (e.g., PCI)
- Vendor security and exception handling
- Ensure security controls in the application development lifecycle
- Support local DevSecOps initiatives
- Identify and mitigate cloud-related security risks
- Coordinate IT security incident handling and investigations with the global team
- Promote and support IT security training and awareness programs

Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security, with strong knowledge of security, compliance, and risk management practices
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure including cloud platforms, operating systems, databases, and networks
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM are a plus

Working hours: Monday-Friday 9:00-18:00 
Working Style: Hybrid (daily office attendance is required for the first few months.
After that, the office will be open 1-2 days a week. Days in the office may change depending on the situation)
