職務内容
A Global IT Service is looking for a Web Backend Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable, high-availability backend systems using Java and Spring Boot to support a large-scale e-book platform
- Lead the architecture and implementation of new backend features while driving system refactoring and long-term architectural improvements
- Build and maintain integrations with key services across the ecosystem, including payment systems, authentication services, and loyalty platforms
- Develop and optimize in-house middleware that powers core e-book store functionality and supports diverse digital content formats
- Design, manage, and optimize databases using Oracle and PostgreSQL, ensuring high performance, data integrity, and scalability
- Analyze and resolve complex technical challenges in a high-traffic production environment to maintain stable system operations
- Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices including clean architecture, automated testing, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum development process, participating in sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Work closely with product owners and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
- Collaborate with global engineering teams across multiple regions to share knowledge, align on technical strategy, and deliver high-quality services
Required skills:
- 5+ years of practical experience as a Backend Engineer (Intermediate to Senior level)
- Solid knowledge of Java programming, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and familiarity with core Java APIs
- High level of knowledge and experience with Spring Boot, capable of independently setting up, developing, and deploying Spring Boot applications
- Expertise in SQL, able to write complex queries, optimize SQL statements, and deep knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Oracle/PostgreSQL)
- Strong command of mainstream ORM frameworks such as MyBatis or Hibernate/JPA, capable of efficiently performing data CURD operations
- Familiarity with RESTful API design principles and best practices, able to design and implement clear and standardized interfaces
- Practical knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
