職務内容
A Global IT Service firm is seeking an experienced Software Architect to lead the technical direction of the OpenAPI and API Gateway platform.
This role is ideal for a technology leader who can bridge architecture, engineering, and business objectives by conducting technical feasibility studies, designing scalable distributed systems, defining architectural standards, and providing technical guidance across multiple teams.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical feasibility studies and assessments for new features and improvements
- Lead high-level system design for the API Gateway and API management infrastructure
- Write technical specifications and architecture design documents for engineering teams
- Perform code reviews to maintain and improve development quality
- Write prototype or production code as needed
- Drive technical consensus with internal teams (engineering, security, product)
- Define and promote API and API Gateway design standards and best practices
- Research competitive and industry trends and provide recommendations for technical strategy
Required skills:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a software architect or technical lead role
- Proven experience conducting technical feasibility studies for complex distributed systems
- Strong experience in high-level system design (including API, microservices, cloud infrastructure)
- Ability to write clear technical specifications and architecture design documents for engineering teams
- Experience with API design (REST, gRPC) and API Gateway systems (e.g., Kong, AWS API Gateway, Apigee)
- Experience improving engineering/development processes (e.g., design review, CI/CD, testing strategy, release governance) in a multi-team environment
- Code review experience across a team; ability to write production-quality code when needed
