職務内容
A Global IT Firm is looking for a Senior SRE Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and Developing Robust Solutions: Architecting, developing, and deploying applications and tools to automate, maintain, operate, and optimize our large-scale data pipelines
- Performance & Capacity Engineering: Conducting system-wide analysis, diagnosis, and proactive performance tuning for capacity planning, ensuring optimal resource utilization and identifying bottlenecks
- Reliability & Operational Excellence: Implementing and refining monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies to meet and exceed defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Indicators (SLIs), with a focus on security incident detection and response
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Leading and assisting in the migration of critical data components to GCP, advocating for and implementing secure best practices in cloud architecture, network security, identity and access management (IAM), and operational security
- Cloud Security Implementation: Designing and implementing security controls, policies, and automation within GCP environments to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance. This includes managing firewalls, security groups, encryption, and vulnerability management
- Ensuring System Resilience: Designing, implementing, and regularly testing high-availability, disaster recovery, and consistency mechanisms for our distributed data systems, incorporating security considerations into all recovery plans
- CI/CD & Automation: Enhancing and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) for applications developed in Java, Node.js, and Scala, promoting automation, developer efficiency, and integrating security checks into the pipeline
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with application engineers, product managers, security teams, and support teams to provide expert technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless, secure data flow
- Mentor junior and mid-level SREs and software engineers, fostering their technical growth and understanding of SRE principles
Required Skills:
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in application development, primarily with Python
- Minimum 2 years of experience designing and operating distributed systems that handle large volumes of data in near real-time
- Deep understanding of operating system internals, preferably in a Linux environment, with at least 4 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing systems at an infrastructure level, encompassing both bare-metal and cloud-based environments (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with cloud security principles and practices, including IAM, network security, data encryption, and compliance within a major cloud provider (GCP preferred)
- Proficiency with configuration management and IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and/or Chef (2+ years)
- Minimum 3 years of experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems; a strong understanding of defining and tracking SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs
- Experience with setting up, testing, and monitoring distributed relational databases
- Minimum 3 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, including maintaining build processes for Java, Node.js, and Scala applications, with an understanding of integrating security gates
- Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining and operating containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), with an understanding of container security
- Usage of AI-based tools to optimize alerting, workloads and cost, as well as reduce toil, analyse logs, automate tests
