職務内容
A major Japanese internet company is looking for a Senior Java Web Application Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Lead members from a technical perspective (take responsibility for reviewing designs and code, overcome technical obstacles, and keep services stable)
- Research and catch up on new technologies
- Work closely with Product Managers and Project Managers to discuss backlog refinement and mid-to-long-term planning
- Understand business requirements and deliver features with high quality and speed
- System design, development, testing, and operations (releases, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, bug fixing)
- Operations (releases, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, bug fixes)
- System improvements (refactoring, adopting appropriate technologies and architectures, system performance optimization including load testing, etc.)
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience developing web applications in Java
- 5+ years of experience developing with Java web application frameworks (Spring, Struts, etc.)
- A mindset to catch up on and propose new technologies and mechanisms
- Finding fulfillment in maximizing team results and continuously making improvements
- Japanese: Business level (N2)
- English: Business level (TOEIC 800)
(Preferred Skills)
- Basic knowledge of databases (Oracle or MySQL) and 2+ years of experience
- Skills to design or review from a system architecture perspective
- 2+ years of experience developing web applications with PHP frameworks (e.g., CodeIgniter)
- 2+ years of leadership experience in projects and teams
- Experience with agile development processes (e.g., Scrum)
- Experience with test automation, CI implementation, and operations
- Basic knowledge and experience with performance testing
- Experience developing consumer-facing web applications

Working Hours: 9:00 – 17:30
Working Style: Hybrid (basically 4 days in-office, 1 day remote)
