A world’s leading Insurance service provider, is looking for a talented & bilingual Security Operations Platform Engineer (to join the Japan Information Security Office (ISO).
The Security Operations Platform Enablement Engineer will help to deliver effective Security Operations services as part of a global team in a follow the sun model.
Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of Data Engineering and Security Automation services in day-to-day operations
- Work with Security Operations leadership, Data Engineering and Security Automation resources to design and deliver strategic projects and solutions
- Support 24/7/365 Security Operations teams, including Incident Response personnel throughout the course of an event
- Work closely with Security Operation Centre analysts to ensure end user requirements are replicated in the functionality of security technologies
- Take ownership of local requirements and integrate them into the global security services, coordinating efforts between regional stakeholders and other engineering functions
- Lead and mentor junior resources across the global team
- Data Engineering and Security Automation services
- Support 24/7/365 operations as part of a global team in a follow the sun model
- Development of processes and standards locally and globally
- Monitor the availability and completeness of data sources and work with data owners to resolve issues
- Work with security operations teams to identify use cases for automation and work with engineering teams to implement solutions
- Identify and onboard data sources which will benefit the detection engineering team’s effort in creating additional content
- Support development of Security Operations capabilities in local region
- Provide mentorship to Security Operations personnel locally and globally
- Local point of escalation for issues relating to Data Engineering or Security Automation
- Ambassador for the global Security Operations team, working with local regional IT and business teams to better integrate security into routine working practices
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferable
- 10+ years’ experience in Security Engineering, with 5+ years recent experience in SIEM engineering or similar
- Experience working in complex enterprises and global organizations
- Experience working in Security Operations preferred
- Strong understanding of Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems
- Proven ability to design and implement ingestion and transformation pipelines across modern data platforms
- Understanding of SOAR technologies desirable
- Knowledge of frameworks such as Mitre Attack, NIST, CIS
- Experience with task management technologies (Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence)

Working Hours: 9:00 - 17:30 (Mon-Fri)
Working Style: Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day work from home)
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday, National Holidays, Year-end and New Year Holidays, 27 Paid Holidays every year (20 paid leaves, and 7 especial leaves)
