A Global IT Service firm is looking for a Database Engineer.

Responsibilities:
- Provide overall support and technical leadership for Oracle Database Administration (DBA) activities
- Manage and maintain Oracle databases across multiple environments
- Design and maintain database backups, replication, and disaster recovery (DR) solutions
- Conduct DR switchover and failover operations
- Maintain database security, perform upgrades, apply patches, and conduct performance tuning
- Monitor deployments to ensure database performance and perform capacity planning
- Create documentation and collaborate with technical peers online
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills in high-availability environments
- Execute responsibilities with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Required Skills:
- Proven experience leading and executing Oracle database migrations from on-premise to cloud environments
- Strong expertise in Oracle database tuning and optimization
- Extensive experience with Exadata (ESS), GRID, and Oracle Home version management
- Proven hands-on maintenance experience in Exadata environments
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Oracle GoldenGate
- Advanced problem-solving skills focused primarily on Oracle databases
- Hands-on experience with automation using DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and Python
