A Global Financial firm is seeking a highly skilled Consultant – Senior Associate/ VP PMO with strong experience in PMO governance and project management to support our project delivery and governance frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in establishing and maintaining PMO processes, ensuring compliance with project management standards, and driving successful project execution across multiple teams.
Responsibilities:
- Establish, implement, and maintain PMO governance frameworks, standards, and best practices across projects and portfolios
- Monitor and enforce compliance with PMO policies, processes, and methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Scrum)
- Facilitate project portfolio management by tracking progress, risks, issues, and dependencies to support effective decision-making
- Support project managers with planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting to ensure project delivery within scope, time, and budget
- Develop and maintain PMO reporting dashboards, project documentation, and communication channels for stakeholders
- Conduct project health checks and maturity assessments to identify areas for improvement in project execution and governance
- Coordinate and participate in project steering committee meetings, preparing agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions
- Mentor and coach project managers and team members on PMO governance, risk management, and project management best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align PMO activities with organizational objectives and strategies
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in PMO roles with a focus on governance and project management
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum) and tools (MS Project, Jira, MS Office Suite)
- Proven ability to implement and maintain PMO governance frameworks and controls
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- PMP®, PMI-ACP®, or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
