Description
A Research Institute is seeking a highly motivated NLP Research Scientists with a strong research background. This institute focus on core AI research and is spread across six geographical locations including Tokyo, Singapore, Boston, San Mateo, Bengaluru, and Paris. This division consists of AI research scientists with specialization in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, knowledge discovery and data mining.
Responsibilities:
- Design algorithms and develop prototype systems to address defined scientific problems
- Present algorithms and prototype systems to business stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineers to deploy algorithms and prototypes into production services
- Work with other researchers on studies and academic paper publications
- Participate in scientific conferences and contribute to the research community through paper publications
Required Skills:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong publication record in top conferences/journals (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, SIGIR, WWW, WSDM, KDD, AAAI) in NLP, machine learning, information retrieval or related fields
- Fluent in English for effective communication with researchers, engineers, and business stakeholders
- Ability to read and process Japanese text (our product catalog is in Japanese)
- Proficient in Python for coding
- Skilled in PyTorch for model development
- Experience working in a Linux environment

Working hours : 9:00 - 17:30 (Mon-Fri)
