Description
A Global Financial firm i is seeking a Hardware Support engineer for their Datacenter Operations team responsible for supporting datacenter infrastructure across multiple datacenter locations.
The successful candidate’s duties will include operational support/replacement of fundamental server components (RAM, memory, hard disk, power supply), manage back-up tapes and tape management vendors and other hardware, cabling, inventory and infrastructure duties as well as project-based tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Daily monitoring, break fix, physical installation and relocation, disposal of all devices in all of the data centers in Tokyo
- Cabling work for devices in the data centers
- Access control of access in and out of data centers
- Daily management of the tape operation
- Manage other hardware related vendors and partners
- Management request ticket queue
- Update, maintain inventory lists
Required Skills:
- Experience in hardware or user support
- Keen interest in gaining career experience and skills in enterprise data center infrastructure management, policy and procedures
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- Reliable and professional
- Clear communication skills for vendor management, ticket escalation
- Teamwork oriented
