A Global Fashion & Retail firm is looking for a talented Mobile Development Engineer (App) for its Digital Business Transformation Service Department.
As a mobile application engineer you will work closely with the business, design, and engineering teams to build the world-class native applications that re-define the customer shopping experience. You have a variety of opportunities developing the service not only for our customers but also for the store staffs in terms of improving daily operations. In addition to aiming to become a Team Manager or Dev-Lead by enhancing your expertise in a specific area, there are plenty of opportunities to move to other teams depending on your ability, aptitude, and motivation. We also offer a wide range of opportunities to work not only in Japan, but also in our overseas offices.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement applications considering user experience, performance, maintainability, cost, and up-to-date technologies.
- Opportunity to develop and ship the in-house applications of our brands including UNIQLO and GU for our customers around the globe.
- Analyze users and make improvement plans with our business planners and UI/UX designers for the expansion of our business.
- Develop applications for FR employees to improve business operations and customer support.
Required Skills:
- Over 3 years industry experience in iOS (Objective-C/Swift) or Android (Java/Kotlin) development
- Experience using a pull request based developing process with Git / GitHub
- Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, etc.)
- Master or bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- UI implementation based on Material Design Guidelines
- Over 6 months experience using Kotlin as main programming language (1 year preferred)
- General understanding of the following technologies: Clean architecture, RxJava / RxKotlin, Databinding, Android architecture components
- UI implementation based on iOS Human Interface Guideline
- Over 1 year experience of Swift
- Experience or Understanding of the following: Design the code to be maintainable and testable, Rx, Carthage

Working Hours: Flex Time System, Mon-Fri Core time 9：00～14：00
Working Style: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days work from home)
Holidays: 2 days per week (Saturdays and Sundays are holidays, but national holidays are working days), Special leave**, Paid leave, Congratulation and Condolence leave,8 days of Special leave is given every 6 months in addition to Paid leave (Instead of National Holidays working)
