A Global IT Service firm is seeking a highly skilled Platform Architect (Load Balancer) to design, architect, and implement scalable, highly available, and secure load balancing solutions across enterprise platforms. You will be responsible for optimizing traffic distribution, improving system resilience, and supporting large-scale, distributed application environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and architect advanced load balancing, application delivery, and traffic management solutions
- Lead technical initiatives to implement and enhance load balancing for critical enterprise applications
- Define best practices for application traffic routing, SSL offloading, health checks, and failover strategies
- Management of Linux server
- Manage daily/weekly release operations
- Carefully evaluate, assess and automate load balancer platform
- Experience in a distributed system or microservices architecture
- Experience in making technical decisions
- Experience in using monitoring tools such as Prometheus and ELK
- Experience in using proxy middle wares such as HAProxy, Envoy and/or Nginx
- Trouble shooting on network, Linux and applications
- Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, Networking, and Security teams to ensure integrated and secure load balancing architectures
- Monitor, tune, and optimize performance of load balancers and related traffic management systems
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in Linux server management and automation in production environment
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in network/application load balancing architecture and engineering
- Experience in writing design documents or proposals and reaching agreements with stakeholders
- Strong understanding of Linux and networking and web protocols. (TCP, HTTP, TLS, DNS, BGP)
- Experience in writing a scripting language (e.g., Python) and(or) a compiled language (e.g., Golang)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
- Good understanding of common software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to take a systematic approach to troubleshooting
- General understanding of datacenter compute and network design
- Experience in a teambased collaborative environment
- Experience in managing high SLA and largescale systems
