An ML&AI Solution Start-up is seeking a passionate Full Stack Engineer. The main responsibility of the Full Stack Engineer will be to Full Stack Engineer to build the user-facing web application for our cutting-edge AI and mapping platform. You will lead the development of an interactive application that allows users to access our AI-driven analysis of satellite imagery, with an initial focus on measuring forest carbon for the carbon offset market. The ideal candidate is a proficient developer with experience in modern web frameworks, cloud deployment, and an interest in creating applications that feature mapping and AI-powered insights to address critical environmental challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of a secure, scalable, and intuitive web application from the ground up
- Build and manage the deployment of the application on cloud platforms such as Vercel, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Integrate dynamic mapping functionalities to visualize geospatial data and the outputs of our AI models
- Develop and connect to APIs for AI model inference, enabling seamless interaction between the user and our backend analytics
- Collaborate closely with our GIS/Remote Sensing engineers and data scientists to translate complex data into compelling and understandable visualizations
- Implement user authentication, database management, and other core functionalities of a modern web service
- Ensure the application is optimized for performance, responsiveness, and a superior user experience across devices
Required skills:
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in full stack development, with a portfolio of web applications
- Frontend - Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Svelte, or Angular)
- Backend - Strong back-end development skills in languages like Python, Node.js, or Go
- Cloud - Demonstrable experience deploying applications on Vercel, AWS or Google Cloud
- API/DB - Solid understanding of API design, database architecture, and software development best practices
- The ideal candidate may also have experience with web mapping libraries such as Mapbox, Leaflet, or Cesium. Knowledge of geospatial data concepts is a strong advantage, and any experience building interfaces for AI applications
