Our client is a Tokyo-based provider of one-stop payment platform and merchant solutions, delivering complete value-added services for merchants to focus on their core business. They are looking for a talented Fullstack Engineer who will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining both backend APIs and Web frontends of the company’s services
• Managing the server infrastructure and helping improve engineering processes and internal tools
• Improving the company’s user experience by working on frontend and backend performance, browser compatibility, and accessibility

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, maintain and deploy APIs and frontend / backend applications
• Monitor servers dashboard, deploy and configure servers as needed
• Work with designers and PMs on how to deliver the best user experience
• Improve engineering standards, tools, processes and internal tools
• Provide technical support to clients (occasionally)

Flex Hours (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Core)

• Good understanding of Java and Web development (Spring boot / MySQL)
• Knowledge of and hands-on experience with HTTP, REST, etc.
• Experience in ES6 and a JS framework such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.

• Any experience in online payments will be beneficial (but not necessary) (Alipay, WeChat Pay, Apple Pay, Line Pay, etc.)
