A Fortune 500 client, leader in the integration of IT and network technologies, is looking for a talented Cloud Architect (Application & Cloud Modernization) with a strong background in modernization projects, to work with their top-tier Enterprise BFSI client.

Responsibilities

- Lead and assist the architecture and design of DX modernization projects.

- Serve as a subject matter expert in microservices and cloud-native solutions.

- Modernize monolithic applications to microservices on cloud platforms.

- Conduct system assessments and develop transformation roadmaps.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create effective modernization strategies.

- IT experience with a strong background in modernization projects

- Proven success in transforming legacy systems to modern architectures.

- Expertise in transitioning monolithic applications on mainframes and on-premises infrastructure to microservices using Java and Spring Boot on cloud platforms.

- Cloud Native Architecture: Expertise in Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS, Azure, GCP

- Microservices Architecture: Design and develop enterprise applications as microservices.

- Database: Experience with DB2/Oracle/Postgres, and database modernization Patterns & Practices: Domain-Driven Design, Event-Driven Architecture, Object-Oriented Principles, Scalability, High Availability, Performance

- Application Modernization & Migration: Refactor legacy (On-Prem) monolithic applications to cloud-native microservices; plan and execute lift-and-shift strategies

- Expertise in OpenShift, AWS, Azure, GCP

- DevOps: Skilled in Jenkins, Maven, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization

- Frameworks: Proficient in Java, REST, Serverless (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions), Spring (Boot, MVC, Data, IoC), logging, monitoring, persistence (Hibernate, JPA), messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
