A global financial services and investment group is seeking an Application Support Analyst responsible for managing all application support, projects and initiatives and our “high touch” service desk in conjunction with the support desk.


The successful candidate will form a close relationship with the users and global counterparts, gain understanding of the trading team methods and fixed income fund management business needs in the region, gathering user requirements, resolve functional issues, provide application support and ensure the application platform meets the regional needs.



Provide on-going system production and user support

- Initial contact point for all systems issues arising from global Investment Management business.

- Problem diagnosis, resolution analysis, and liaise regionally and globally with business and system groups to follow through the support items


Quality assurance and organising user acceptance testing

- Ensure the quality of the solution meets the needs of the region

- Develop and execute quality test plans for the system rollout and managing UAT


Provide pre-implementation and post-implementation support to the systems and business teams

- Organize prototype demos and training to users

- Prepare training materials and document user feedback


Identifying and documenting Business Requirements

- Understand existing systems functions and liaison with Business teams

- Document high level business requirements and create detailed business specifications

- 高レベルの業務要件の文書化、詳細な業務仕様書の作成

Required Skills

- Experience as a Support/Business Analyst.

- Experience supporting Users face to face, directly.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Working knowledge of key third-party providers of trading/market data applications

- Experience in business process improvement and business analysis

- Understanding of the technology development lifecycle.

- Experience of Microsoft Office and Excels VBA.

Preferred Skills

- SQL & Access proficiency (ability to create, maintain, alter & query databases)

- Good knowledge of equity trading and fixed income (analytics, credit rating and FX) process. - Experience with OMS/EMS vendors is a plus.

- Background in trading function for global investment bank or technical knowledge on OMS/EMS technology

- Experience of the FIX protocol including IOIs and Allocations

- Buy-side front-office systems experience

- Exposure to Agile software development approach and rapid development

- Project management skill by keeping all stakeholders updated and aware of all issues and options
