Exciting opportunity to work for one of the world's most famous NPO institutions!  They are funded by world governments with the mission of helping developing countries end extreme poverty.

They are seeking a Multimedia Specialist to provide multimedia support in their conference rooms in the absence of/or to assist the Senior Knowledge Management Assistant (SKMA) in the technical operations of public seminars.

The incumbent will be based in Tokyo and will work under the supervision of the Senior Knowledge Management Assistant (SKMA) in-conjunction with the IT Analyst and under the overall direction of the Senior Program Officer.

‐ Act as a back-up to liaise and advise staff and /or other units to plan technical logistics of the conference rooms for public seminars and knowledge exchange events.
‐ Assist with the scheduling of events in the Outlook calendar and monitor video conference and WebEx connections on the Cisco Telepresence Conference Bridge.
‐ Set-up the control room and conference rooms for each event including the arrangement of furniture and the technical operation of multimedia equipment such as the vision mixer, audio mixer, studio camera controller, on-screen graphics PC, video/audio/HDMI matrix, ingest PC/KiPro recorder, Converge Pro DSP, simultaneous interpretation equipment, and LTO archiving management system.
‐ Set up PCs and converters in the conference rooms for PowerPoint Presentations.
‐ Create onscreen L3 name graphics, WBG branded logos, and Twitter graphics for
playout during events held in the conference rooms.
‐ Assist the SKMA to set up and operate an ENG camera, portable audio mixer,
lighting, and wired and wireless microphone system for recording interviews and b-roll both in the office an at external locations within Japan.
‐ Assist the SKMA to liaise with Japanese vendors in the management of the
technical facilities and/or when holding events at external venues across Japan.
‐ Provide support in the conference rooms for events held out of business hours.
‐ Provide basic back-up editing support the World Bank Tokyo office for repackaging (toping and tailing) seminars for the website.
‐ Assist with conducting regular maintenance checks in the control room and
conference rooms as well as responding the urgent facility failures.
‐ Assist the SKMA on asset management and documentation control with
maintaining and monitoring complete hardware/software inventory record of system configurations, up-to date inventory of all asset, etc. with organizing peripherals, accessories and cables.
‐ Assist the SKMA to maintain the equipment secure and up-to-date status as well as to keep the conference, control and machine room clean and neat.

Required Skills

‐ Experience of working in a professional audio-visual environment
‐ Knowledge and experience of professional-grade video and audio equipment, and knowledge of multimedia formats
‐ Experience in, or the ability to learn, the Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (conference bridge)
‐ Superior analytical and problem-solving skills in real-time for event support
‐ Ability to learn and adapt quickly, and proactively seek out optimal solutions to complex problems

Preferred Skills

‐ Experience and ability with video editing software such a Premiere Pro is desired, but not required
