A leading global insurance company is seeking an Infrastructure Architect primarily to provide infrastructure architecture deliveries in Japan, transforming & optimizing Infrastructure architecture aligning to global standards and Japan business objectives.

They are looking for a person who have a “can-do” attitude, high collaboration skills, locally & globally, and be able to interact effectively across all the organization & seniority, to present & communicate creative, fact based, technical solutions using a multidiscipline approach to identify, design and validate feasible architectures.

【Main Responsibilities】
‐ Primarily provide infrastructure architecture deliveries in Japan, transform & optimize Infrastructure architecture aligning to global standards and Japan business objectives
‐ Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirements into design documentation
‐ Work with multiple teams to create business appropriate infrastructure solutions. (Storage, Servers, Facility, End User Computing, Message DBA, Systems Administration, Networks, Voice)
‐ Document high level architectural designs and perform reviews of infrastructure solutions as relates to the overall architecture
‐ Identify bottlenecks, single points of failure, weaknesses, restrictions, and security concerns imposed by IT infrastructure solution and outlining best solutions to resolve, mitigate
‐ Work with project teams ensuring architecture of solution matches customer requirements
‐ Advocates and enforces applicable standards, policies, procedures, and best practices in the implementation and/or maintenance of infrastructure
‐ Collaborate on creation, implementation of standards and common designs within infrastructure with the technical teams & formalize design acceptance requirements
‐ Utilize existing infrastructure within design in pragmatic ways to ensure prudent changes are made which remediate current issues or improve business benefits
‐ Moderate and govern infrastructure designs and proposals with technical towers, Account team and Japan Business Unit architecture team
‐ Oversight of high and low level solution design ensuring architectural integrity and compliance with standards. Ensure solutions meet functional and technical requirements as measured by on-going

Required Skills

‐ Infrastructure experience from a large scale enterprise (1000+ users) within one of System Integrator, Telecom, Datacenter hosting or Technology vendor (Storage, Servers, Network), Finance or insurance, Cloud provider
‐ Experience participating or leading technical delivery in infrastructure projects
‐ Infrastructure system design (analysis, development & implementation)
‐ Basic understanding on the use cases, benefits, and challenges within server computing, networks, storage, middleware and end user computing.
‐ Familiarity with fundamental networking & distributed computing environment concepts
‐ Evaluate technical options, including criteria and trade-offs

Preferred Skills

‐ Experience within Insurance industry
‐ Experience within multinational IT organization
‐ Hands on experience with infrastructure installation, configuration, tuning and troubleshooting infrastructure
‐ Hands on experience with systems administration: management, monitoring, security, backup, archiving
‐ Hands on experience with middleware or identity managements systems
‐ TOGAF or other related architecture certification
