Global communication provider is looking for a Carrier Relations Manager who is responsible for managing a set of vendors and the associated spend which supports the company's budget.
The role will include relationship development, creation and execution of vendor strategy, contract negotiations to reduce cost and enhance product offerings, management of contractual terms and conditions to ensure compliance, communication of vendor strategy and capabilities to internal stakeholders, and facilitation of the vendor performance management process and direction of improvement plans.

Negotiate reduced cost rate sheets and manage spend with key vendors. Monitor company's performance against buying plans and revenue commitments. Take corrective actions if spend is not in accordance with requirements.
‐ Assist with achieving competitive pricing for large RFP's.
‐ Achieve NetEx savings through circuit term management and negotiation of cost waivers and reductions on embedded base of inventory. Process timely request to vendors, verify reductions and ensure savings reports reflect the appropriate results.
‐ Develop business relationships and business plans with each carrier that maximizes buying potential.
‐ Negotiate and monitor vendor agreements keeping terms in line with internal organization policies, product service level requirements and industry standards. Consolidate agreements from previous acquisitions into a single, most desirable, purchase contract. Manage the contract approval process in alignment with the company's Expenditure and Fiscal Approval Policy.
‐ Oversee the onboarding internally of network vendors and new product services added to existing vendor agreements.
‐ Manage vendor's performance of service expectations and commitments in the agreement. Assist internal organizations with resolving vendor disputes. Proactively initiate, develop and drive supplier Service Improvement Programs when performance is not achieving the acceptable requirements or contractual SLAs, thus impacting Customer Experience; follow up on all actions, focusing on driving outcome to the identified success criteria.
‐ Build and maintain methods of supplier performance data monitoring sufficient for trend analysis and recommendations, including high quality management information appropriate for use at Executive and Senior Executive reviews.

Required Skills

‐ Bachelor Degree in Business/ Finance/ Telecommunications
‐ 5 - 8 years' of relevant experience in a similar role, with strong relationships with major carrier providers in Asia Pacific
‐ Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, strong problem solving abilities, and the ability to work with a globally diverse team
‐ Business and financial acumen, individual must be self-motivated, adaptive to changes and results-oriented
‐ Ability to build strong cross-departmental business relationships
‐ Proven experience in account management, and with operational knowledge in telecommunications (Provisioning, Planning, Marketing, Project Management)
‐ Proven experience in negotiating MSAs and SLAs, and establish brand new vendors
‐ Ability to interpret terms and conditions of purchase agreements and LEC tariffs, and use that knowledge to solve problems and create opportunities
‐ Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and issues at the same time
‐ Solid knowledge of last mile access technologies and data network solutions
‐ Strong customer service focus
