A leading Japanese finance group is seeking an experienced, Linux server side ‘C’ developer for their Tokyo based team providing “Ultra low latency” and “very high frequency”, “high performance”, DMA co-lo solutions as a key component of the firm's electronic Trading franchise.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, with a proven track record of creative technical solutions, great communication/ teamwork skills and, ideally familiar with TCP/IP, Arrowhead/ OUCH/ FIX protocols.

‐ Enhance existing exchange connectivity and core application framework and supporting tools and systems.
‐ Design, develop and maintain reliable, high capacity monitoring, configuration, testing and analysis tools and scripts
‐ Design, develop and maintain high performance ultra low latency C/Linux applications.
‐ Participate in the full project life cycle including technical analysis & design, data analysis & mapping, development and testing.
‐ Provide level 2 and 3 support.
‐ Ensure adherence to functional architecture strategy and compliance to company development standards.

Required Skills

‐ 3-5 years relevant experience
‐ Strong C knowledge and intensive practice using Linux.
‐ Solid understanding of Linux/Unix power tools, regression testing automation, pcap, networking.
‐ Experience with extremely low latency and highly optimized development using server side processing and network communication with reliable and predictable performance.
‐ Familiarity with large scale, international development & integration projects.
‐ Degree holder or above

Preferred Skills

‐ Network protocols, TCP/IP stack.
‐ Good knowledge of Asian Equities markets protocols and specifics preferred.
‐ Good knowledge of Equity Trading systems, DMA and FO STP technology preferred.
‐ Proficient in FIX protocol an advantage.
‐ Ability to conceptualize and think clearly
