This position belongs to CIO’s Distribution & Marketing Systems Dept., in charge of dealing with complex global cross-functional/enterprise wide projects/programs. This is a high-exposure leadership role providing strategic partnership to the Bancassurance Channel, which is expected to rely heavily on enterprise solutions to defend and expand market share. The channel is expected to be a critical growth market for the business over the next 3 to 5 years. Current estimates show that IT’s involvement with digitizing the channel would help to secure $200 MM ANP between 2018 and 2019.


He/she will lead a team of IT professionals dedicated to the bancassurance channel, providing program oversight across multiple initiatives, driving IT strategy, and ensuring execution of critical projects within the Bancassurance channel. As a business-facing role to key stakeholders, this role will be responsible for managing customer expectations while driving collaboration within the local business and across the Global IT organization.

‐Reports to: VP, Distribution & Marketing Systems Solution Delivery



‐Plan and execute multi-generational bancassurance sales platform project

‐Create long-term vision and strategy for bancassurance channel digitization

‐Establish and develop dedicated bancassurance system organization

‐Manage customer relationship with bancassurance executives, ensuring alignment to critical business priorities.

‐People management: training, development, promotions, and coaching


Total number of employees directly managed is 5 employees.

Total number of employees indirectly managed is 50+ contractors.

Required Skills

【Business Knowledge/Technical Skills】

‐Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills to lead cross-functional teams and coach/advise peers and staff

‐Successfully deliver ERP or system of similar complexity within a global project team framework

‐Proficient in project management tools, templates and project life cycle

‐IT Project management experience with more than 30 people management and seeking challenge for next step

‐Excellent communication, facilitation, and analytical skills, inclusive of written, verbal and listening, in both Japanese and English at all levels of the organization.

‐IT or System dept. experience in Financial institution background (Insurance industry is best)
