The global operations department is entrusted with the responsibility to manage the company's infrastructure worldwide. This position will require strong service skills and high cross-cultural communication skills with members living in different time zones. ‐Design Cassandra cluster based on application needs.
‐Stabilize system uptime and aim for 99.995%.
‐Manage Cassandra cluster and support development team on implementation.
‐Incident handling with 24x7 on-call rotation support.
‐Analyze system performance and implement solutions for improvement.
‐Create KPIs and report to service owners.
‐Experience in Linux server admin (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
‐Experience in apache Cassandra or Datastax Cassandra admin or possess a Cassandra certification (either Apache Cassandra or Datastax Enterprise).
‐Intermediate VMware knowledge.
‐Intermediate bare metal server knowledge.
‐Experience with Apache, Tomcat, Nginx, Git, Chef, Elasticsearch, Kibana and Nagios.
‐Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS).
‐Excellent communication skills.
‐Ability to effectively work with members in different time zones.
‐Experience with CI/CD ideally using Jenkins, Nexus, Rundeck for production release/code release and operations.
‐Understanding of ITIL.
‐Experience with Kubernetes, CoreOS, Docker.
‐Experience with public cloud service (Azure, GCP).
‐Experience with Terraform and consul.
